Their journey began on a military base in South Korea during the uncertainty of April 2020. At Camp Hovey, fate brought them together in an unexpected yet serendipitous encounter. One evening, in a small bar within the base, he was playing pool when she confidently approached him. Their first interaction was marked by a misunderstanding, as he unintentionally said something rude, prompting her to retort with an insult before walking away. The next day, an apology was extended, and this initial awkward moment soon transformed into a cherished inside joke.
Drawn together by an undeniable attraction, their eyes sparkled with a unique light whenever they met. What started as a chance encounter blossomed into a six-month whirlwind romance. During those months, their bond grew stronger, providing solace and stability in a world turned upside down by the pandemic. In October 2020, duty called, and they had to part ways—he returned to Kansas, and she to Texas.
Despite the distance, their connection remained unbroken. In December 2020, he flew to Texas to help her pack after completing her contract with the Army, and together, they moved to Kansas. For the next year and a half, they built a life together, strengthening their love while he completed his Army contract.
Once free from military constraints, they moved to Alabama, where they now reside in a beautiful apartment with their beloved little white dog, Milo. Their life is a testament to mutual support and growth. She is finishing her last semester of graduate school, an achievement made possible by his unwavering support. Their love has deepened with each passing day, and they continually motivate each other to be their best selves.
Their shared passions include physical fitness and discovering new shows to binge-watch together. Their bond is further cemented by the joy they find in each other’s company and the adventures they embark upon with Milo by their side.
