Getting married in Paris: to affirm your love and committment
In the heart of Paris, where history and elegance intertwine, our couple Robbie and Claude found their perfect venue: the enchanting Chapelle Expiatoire for their wedding in Paris. Tucked away from the city’s bustling streets, the chapel provided a serene, private setting for their intimate ceremony, surrounded by those closest to them.
Our bride and groom wanted an experience where they could truly take in each moment. Their ceremony began with a graceful entrance down the chapel’s steps, framed by delicate floral arrangements, while a harpist played soft melodies that echoed through the quiet space. The gentle notes of the harp added an air of reverence, complementing the timeless beauty of the chapel itself.
Inside, the chapel’s luminous main room welcomed them, with sunlight filtering in and casting a soft glow over their vows. The guests, seated in quiet admiration, watched as the couple promised a lifetime together, in a setting reminiscent of a grand yet intimate Parisian chapel. Family and friends gathered close, and after the ceremony, everyone stepped outside for a joyful flower petal exit, capturing memories that would linger forever.
In the peaceful garden, champagne flutes were raised in celebration, and laughter filled the air as the couple savored each second with their loved ones. They had chosen to have their photo session earlier in the day, taking advantage of the chapel’s soft morning light, which allowed them to capture timeless portraits while relaxed and at ease.
It was a wedding where love and history met, framed by Parisian elegance and cherished by everyone who witnessed it.
The ceremony of their wedding at Chapel Expiatoire
Imagine exchanging vows at the historic Chapelle Expiatoire, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Paris. This intimate chapel, adorned with neoclassical architecture, was dedicated to King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette, adding a unique historical charm to your celebration. As one of the rare venues in Paris where a secular ceremony is possible, it allows couples from all around the world to create a ceremony entirely personal to their shared story, while respecting various faiths and traditions.
With seating for up to 100 guests, the Chapelle Expiatoire provides a serene, seated setting, a welcome option compared to the public gardens where chairs are often restricted. This allows everyone, especially elderly loved ones, to fully enjoy the ceremony’s magic. The chapel’s acoustics add to the atmosphere, beautifully enhancing each spoken word and musical note, making every moment resonate deeply with all in attendance.
After the ceremony, couples can step out into the charming garden, surrounded by blooming roses, where they can toast with champagne, pose for photos, and revel in the romantic ambiance. It’s a breathtaking experience, offering a timeless, elegant backdrop for couples seeking an unforgettable destination wedding in Paris.
The photo tour in Paris
In some cases, we do the couple’s session before the ceremony. This can be for various organizational reasons, but also to capture the light and style the couple desires. Today, since we’re also photographing the preparations, this allowed us to do a first look, followed by a sunrise couple’s session to have the Eiffel Tower almost entirely to ourselves, with no public around on the Trocadero esplanade. Also to have a wonderful, fresh, and delicate light for portraits on the Bir-Hakeim bridge. We know the best times to showcase you beautifully, and we suggest them to you.
